Rail Dog is a Barrel Aged Maple Spirit that can’t legally be called whiskey but is basically whiskey. It is divine and delicious and while working with Katie Rutherford at HMC, we developed the brand identity for this delightful spirit.
Created from distilled maple sugar, Rail Dog was the companion spirit to Literary Dog, the first spirit created by Elm Brook Farm.
The client had the name and a recipe, but not much else for their second product.
Katie Rutherford and I developed the visual branding and backstory for Rail Dog, honoring the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the distiller.
